Why Andrew Tate Is a Marketing Genius
Explaining who he is and why he’s plastered all over our social media channels.
If you’re a regular user of social media you will likely have come across the darkly tanned, stubble-adorned, and oft sunglass-dressed face of ex-world champion kickboxer turned webcam-strip club owner Andrew Tate a.k.a. ‘Top G’ (nickname explanation here).
You might have seen his face, and heard him airing some of his controversial, and often comedic, views. But still, you are left asking; who actually is Andrew Tate and why is his face everywhere I turn?
You have probably grasped that he is very rich (Tate estimates he is worth at least $300–350 million), which is why he can constantly flex his Bugatti Chiron supercar on us poor “brokies” (Tate-language for people who aren’t filthy rich), but this in itself doesn’t explain why the Andrew Tate brand is plastered all over our social media streams.
Popular American comedian Andrew Schulz echoed this sentiment of confusion regarding Tate’s recent fame when he discussed him on his podcast, Flagrant. Schulz talked with his co-hosts about who Tate actually is and how Schulz’s namesake has managed to dominate the social media world to an unprecedented degree.
