Yes, I think that is sound advice, it’s hard to feel a sense of enjoyment from running when every step is a lung-busting effort; when I’ve ever had time off, it’s always harder to enjoy it first few runs back, so you’re right, if you can persevere until you can run for a slightly longer period of time with fewer breaks that’s when the real enjoyment comes. You can forget about the ‘running’ and be more present with your emotions and the surroundings and happily plod along!
